Networks
We specialise in Microsoft networks,
from simple peer-to-peer installations to more
complex systems based on the successors of Microsoft
NT Server with their Active Directory based systems;
Windows Server 2000, Windows Server 2003, Windows
Server 2008, in both the full BackOffice versions or
Small Business Server versions. We have several years experience
with, and industry-recognised Microsoft qualifications
for, Microsoft NT networks. Our qualified staff
regularly work on networks with anything from two to
two hundred users, from simple one location local area
networks (LANs) to multi-location wide area networks
(WANs).
We can supply all the hardware and software required
for a network installation, including high-performance
Hewlett Packard servers, workstations and printers.
We can then support your network or even train you to
administer the network yourself.
With ever-increasing file sizes,
the speed of your LAN becomes more and more significant.
Most new PCs now come with network cards capable of
1000 Mbps (1000 megabits per second normally called 1 gigabit per
second) so why not invest in a gigabit switch to speed
up your existing network by a factor of ten? Gigabit
network cards can easily be installed in many older
computers so new PCs are not essential.
